The JoomFish drop down menu uses Cascading Style Sheets (a.k.a css) to create the effect of the submenu appearing when the mouse hovers the main menu. Below is a simple sample you could try to use. The main difference between this sample is that the space provided for the submenu is quite big. This means that you really arrange the submenu items like what you see in Amazon.com.
